West Nile Virus Infections Top 1,000 in Europe
Over 1,086 official West Nile virus infections have been recorded across 15 European countries, according to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). Italy reported the highest number of cases, followed by Greece and Spain. The Netherlands confirmed nine cases, including one fatality.
