Turkey to Ignite First Black Sea Gas by Year-End
Turkey's Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar announced the Osman Gazi Floating Production Unit will be deployed in the Black Sea by late October. The first gas is expected to be ignited by year-end, completing the second phase of the Sakarya Gas Field and supplying 8 million households.
Turkey produced 23.1M barrels of oil in H1
Turkey's domestic oil production hit 23.1 million barrels in the first six months of the year, while natural gas output exceeded 1.6 billion cubic meters. Gabar oil fields and the Sakarya gas field were key contributors.
