Adam Peaty Speaks Out About Family 'Feud' Headlines On Instagram

Adam Peaty competing at the Commonwealth Games in 2022Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty has spoken out for the first time about the rumours that have been swirling around him and his family for the last week.Adam is currently engaged to the influencer Holly Ramsay, the daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, who he first met while competing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2021 alongside her sister Tilly.The pair’s wedding is now just weeks away, but in recent times, the couple have been at the centre of a tabloid storm over an alleged family feud that is reported to have begun when Holly chose not to invite Adam’s mum Caroline to her hen weekend.Fuelling the speculation even further was the fact that Holly’s dad Gordon was invited to the gold medallist’s stag do, while the guestlist for Holly’s event included family friend Victoria Beckham.Last week, Caroline gave her side of the story in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, with Adam having now spoken out in a statement posted on his Instagram page.Holly Ramsay and Adam Peaty at the GQ Men Of The Year awards on Tuesday night“Over the past few days, a lot has been reported and comments posted about the private life of Holly and myself,” he began. “My sister Bethany, has also been targeted.“This has been almost entirely one-sided and, in many cases, excessive and intrusive. It has been deeply hurtful and upsetting to read, especially given the false basis upon which we have been targeted. What makes it worse is that it has been encouraged by members of my family.”Adam continued: “Bethany, Holly and myself cannot go into detail given an ongoing police investigation into serious matters that arose long before recent events.“For those who know me personally, you know that I work so hard on trying to improve myself as a person who wants to contribute to making the world a better place. I am continuing to learn about myself and how I can be the man I want to be; a worthy partner, father, businessman, friend and athlete; even through these challenging times.“Bethany, Holly and I will get through this - we do not ask for sympathy.
