Alan Carr on The Celebrity TraitorsIf there’s one thing everyone who watched The Celebrity Traitors can agree on, it’s that Alan Carr definitely brought the laughs. But despite being responsible for countlessiconicmoments throughout the series, the comedian has admitted that one of his favourite moments never actually made it into the series.Asked about his time on the BBC reality show during a recent interview with Radio Times, Alan said: “There were a lot of naysayers who assumed it would be a load of luvvies not wanting to stab their friends in the back. I thought: ‘Wait till you get a load of me!’. I wanted to prove them wrong.“People underestimate celebrities, but it’s a hard business. I definitely turned a corner when I ‘murdered’ Celia [Imrie].”He continued: “There was one funny bit that didn’t stay in, but at one round table Stephen Fry said, ‘We have to think about the Cambridge spies. Philby, Blunt… they were flamboyant characters, camp but still under the radar’.“I’m sitting directly opposite, saying ‘Ooh I know!’ and laughing.”The cast of The Celebrity Traitors gathered at the round table for the first timeIndeed, there were several moments over the course of The Celebrity Traitors where it looked like Alan was about to give himself away, beginning on his very first day in the castle and stretching right through to the final. However, he somehow managed to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes, even getting Joe Marler thrown out at the eleventh hour, paving the way for him to nab the full prize pot for his chosen charity – though the ending proved to be more emotional than anyone could have anticipated.Since the series ended, cast members like Joe Marler and Nick Mohammed have been speaking out about how they feel about Alan’s double-crossing in hindsight, as well as sharing moments of their own that they were surprised didn’t make it into the finished show.A second season of The Celebrity Traitors will air on the BBC in 2026, with a number of famous faces having already been rumoured to be joining the cast of the next series.MORE TRAITORS:Alan Carr Comes Clean About Brutal Celebrity Traitors Moment We Didn't SeeJoe Wilkinson's Celebrity Traitors Group Chat Story Is As Chaotic As We'd ExpectJonathan Ross Says Ricky Gervais' Reason For Turning Down Traitors Was 'Right'
