Alex Scott Opens Up About Her Future With Jess Glynne On I'm A Celebrity

Campmates.Following months of speculation, Alex and Jess made their relationship public last year. The pair had previously been seen together since the spring of 2023, appearing side-by-side at various events.Discussing her relationship, the former Lioness and sports presenter told I’m A Celebrity co-star Ruby Wax: “I think before her, I never knew happiness.”When Ruby asked Alex how she met Jess, she explained: “She approached me in Chiltern Firehouse… I was in there with my friends and she just walked up to me… [it was] really ballsy and I was like, ‘I like your ballsiness’, and then the spark was just instant and then yeah…we fell madly in love.”Alex Scott and Jess GlynneAlex then admitted she would love to marry her partner of over two years, telling the American comedian: “I will get married to her, I’m just waiting for her to ask!” Once the episode aired, Jess posted on her Instagram stories that she had “better go get a ring,” alongside a diamond ring emoji.A screengrab of Jess Glynne's Instagram story after Tuesday's episode of I'm A CelebrityElsewhere in the discussion, Alex and her campmate spoke about their insecurities, with Alex sharing that she can “go inwards in myself in big groups”, but that the Hold My Hand singer had encouraged her to come out of herself and, in Jess’ words, “show them what I see everyday”.Before entering the jungle, Alex admitted it would be hard for the couple to be apart from each other, claiming: “I already miss her, this will be the longest we’ve been apart since we’ve been together. We are certainly not used to it, it’s going to be hard.” “Jess thinks I am absolutely mental! But she will be my biggest supporter, and my mum absolutely loves the show,” Alex added.“Thinking of her tuning in every night will bring a tear. But I will need to push myself to speak out around all of the different and big personalities,” the Football Focus presenter added.“Not going into myself for being the shy one will be my big challenge. People see you on TV and they assume you are outgoing, that loud person, but take me to red carpets or events,” she explained.During a 2024 appearance on the Happy Place podcast, Jess also opened up about her romance with Alex.“I think love is a really scary subject and it’s normally something I keep quite distant,” she said. “But it’s a nice thing to be able to embrace someone and a relationship that feels really genuinely good.”Jess told the podcast host Fearne Cotton that her romance with Alex had also required some self-reflection.“The work that I’ve done on myself has actually settled me inside and it’s allowed me to enter a relationship where I feel very comfortable and I’m just me. I’m unapologetically me,” she explained.Despite doing work on herself to make the new relationship work, Jess admitted she struggles to date someone else in the public eye.“It’s something that I’m getting used to,” she shared. “I do love to somehow keep my personal life to myself. It’s so important. Even though we’re both in this public space, what we have, that’s ours.
