Angellica Bell Gets Tearful As She Looks Back On Martin Lewis Show Exit
Angellica Bell and Martin Lewis pictured in 2018Angellica Bell had a tearful moment on her last full day in the Celebrity Big Brother house as she reflected on her abrupt exit from The Martin Lewis Money Show. The former CBBC host fronted the ITV finance show alongside Martin Lewis for around six years, until she was suddenly replaced by Jeanette Kwakye in 2023.Back then, it was reported by The Sun that producers felt her appearance on Channel 5’s Shop Smart, Save Money (previously known as The Gadget Show) presented a “conflict of interest”, though this was never confirmed by ITV.Instead, ITV said at the time: “Angellica is not working on the Martin Lewis Money Show Live, however, the relationship with her remains amicable and we are working with her on other forthcoming programmes.”Prior to her CBB stint, reports in the press speculated whether Angellica would discuss her departure from Martin Lewis’ show, which she finally did during Tuesday’s highlights show.Speaking to producers in the Diary Room, Angellica admitted: “Before I came in here, I was a little bit scared. The press were asking if I’d talk about the Martin Lewis show and stuff. It took me a long time to get over that.“I’m so grateful to all the audience that messaged me about it and also to other ‘celebrities’ who contacted me and stuff. It’s those messages and the support that got me through.“And that’s why I wanted to come on the show – to just tap into my old self, because it has taken a long, long time. Do you know what? I think I found myself again, being here. Every cloud.”Earlier in the conversation, she described CBB as the “best thing” she’s been involved in professionally “in a long time”, claiming that she’s “loved every minute”.View this post on InstagramA post shared by Celebrity Big Brother UK (@bbuk)On Tuesday night, Angellica was one of three housemates shown the door in a surprise triple-eviction, alongside soap legend Patsy Palmer and reality star Ella Rae Wise.Just six housemates remain in the competition ahead of Friday’s live final, with Love Island fave Chris Hughes, media personality Jojo Siwa, Drag Race winner Danny Beard, actor Donna Preston and pop singer Chesney Hawkes all battling it out for the title of this year’s CBB winner.READ MORE:Mickey Rourke Is Considering Taking Legal Action Against CBB, His Team Has ClaimedHere's Why This Telly Legend Claimed They Had To Turn Down An Appearance On Celebrity TraitorsITV Has Finally Made An Announcement About The Fate Of Dancing On Ice After Weeks Of Rumours
