Arctic snap brings coldest November night for 15 years as temperatures plunge below -12C in Britain - before Autumn returns with a vengeance as wet and windy weather blows in

Thermometers dropped to -12.6C (9.3F) overnight at Tomintoul in northern Scotland which was the UK's lowest temperature since January 11 and the coldest November night since 2010.
