Ariana Grande Just Made A Bold Claim About Her 2026 Tour
Ariana Grande on stage at the Oscars earlier this yearIf you missed out on getting tickets for Ariana Grande’s upcoming tour, we’re afraid we have some news you’re probably not going to like.Next year, the two-time Grammy winner will embark on a 41-date world tour in support of her latest album Eternal Sunshine, consisting of shows around North America and 10 nights at London’s O2 Arena. This will mark Ariana’s return to touring after a seven-year break, and during an interview with Amy Poehler on her podcast Good Hang, the Wicked star explained that she doesn’t think she’ll be hitting the road again for a long time afterwards.“I’m going to do a small stint of shows next year, because that is something that sounded authentically good to me,” she explained.“Following those authentic impulses, it feels like a really good idea.”Ariana Grande performing live in 2018After initially rising to global fame as an actor on Nickelodeon, Ariana admitted that her “pop career sort of took over my life in a way”, noting that she feels “very privileged and grateful to learn that there can be room for different creative endeavours.”She continued: “The last 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up.”While insisting she doesn’t want to say anything “definitive”, Ariana added: “I do know that I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long time. So I’m going to give it my all.“I think that’s why I’m doing it, because I’m like, ‘One last hurrah. For now’.”Ariana embarked on her Sweetener world tour in 2019, and made no secret of finding those shows particularly difficult for a variety of reasons.Since returning to acting in projects like Don’t Look Up and, of course, Wicked, Ariana has since made it clear that this will be her focus for the foreseeable future, and she recently completed filming on a fourth movie in the Meet The Parents franchise. The No Tears Left To Cry singer told the Las Culturistas podcast last year: “I’m always going to make music. I’m always going to go on stage. I’m always going to do pop stuff, I pinky promise.“But I don’t think doing it at the rate that I’ve been doing for the past 10 years is where I see the next 10 years. I think I love acting.”She also told Today: “I really am enjoying acting right now. Whether it’s movies or being on stage or a little something here and there, I think that’s currently what I’m most inspired by.“I’ll still sing, I promise. But yes, right now, that’s currently where I’m at.”The Oscar nominee admitted: “It would be a dream to find the right thing to come back to [Broadway], to be on stage. And we’ll see. I’m grateful to be along for the ride.”Ariana Grande will return as Glinda in the new movie musical Wicked For Good, which arrives in cinemas on Friday 21 November.READ MORE:Wicked Premiere Intruder Who Accosted Ariana Grande Given Prison SentenceAriana Grande Shares Hidden Meaning Behind Her Wicked For Good Premiere LookAriana Grande Has A Few Words For Anyone Who Thinks She's Done With MusicAriana Grande Shares Pretty Blunt Question For Trump Supporters
