George has now left the Big Brother houseEjected Big Brother housemate George Gilbert has spoken out for the first time since he was removed from the show.On Wednesday afternoon, bosses announced that George would be leaving the Big Brother house immediately due to repeated instances of “unacceptable language and behaviour”.ITV also confirmed that the comments made by the 23-year-old leading up to his exit would not be aired on the show as they would have gone against broadcasting standards. This was also revealed to be the case for other instances of George being given formal warnings for his offensive language, although viewers did see him being reprimanded earlier this year for mocking fellow housemate Sam Ashby’s mannerisms in a derogatory fashion.Following his departure from the Big Brother house, George issued a statement to Metro, which read: “As a flag bearer of freedom of speech I never hesitate to discuss and question any topic regardless of how contentious it may be.“Sadly, the boundaries of what is deemed offensive are subjective and I evidently went too far this time by crossing their line one too many times.“It is a shame that specific debate could not be had and that it has had to end like this.”George was a late addition to this year's series of Big Brother“Infamy, infamy, they’ve all got it in for me,” he concluded, quoting the 1967 film Carry On Cleo.So far, ITV has declined to comment on the specifics of what was said in the house.Instead, a spokesperson for the show said simply: “Following repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour, George has been removed from the Big Brother House with immediate effect and will no longer participate in the programme.”Throughout his short time in the Big Brother house, George had proved to be a provocative presence, sparking various discussions on subjects like transgender issues, benefits for disabled people and migration.Big Brother continues on Thursday night at 9pm on ITV2.MORE REALITY TV NEWS:Big Brother Contestant Caroline Given Formal Warning Over 'Offensive' Comment To Trans Housemate ZelahCelebrity Traitors Fans Are In Agreement That 1 Star Is Already The Scene-Stealer Of The SeriesStrictly Bosses Address Claims Amber Davies Was Previously Rejected Due To Her Dance Experience
