Big Brother Releases More Information About Incident That Led To George Being Removed

Big Brother 2025 contestant George GilbertFurther information has been released about Big Brother housemate George Gilbert’s sudden departure from the show.On Wednesday, it was announced that George had left the Big Brother house after repeated instances of “unacceptable language and behaviour”.At the time, ITV said they would not be airing the remarks the 23-year-old had made as they went against broadcasting standards.It also emerged that he had previously received formal warnings about his conduct, which were also not shown on TV for the same reason.However, George’s final moments in the house will be shown during Thursday night’s highlights show, and it has now been revealed he was removed after he “broke the rules regarding unacceptable and offensive language on multiple occasions” during a conversation about conspiracy theories.In the Diary Room, George is told: “George, before you entered the Big Brother House the rules regarding unacceptable and offensive language and behaviour were explained to you.”“What is it?” he replies.The voice of Big Brother continues: “In a conversation about conspiracy theories, the words you used broke the rules regarding unacceptable and offensive language on multiple occasions.“George, Big Brother thinks that your repeated use of offensive language in the house including during yesterday’s conversation is unacceptable. Big Brother cannot permit you to use language in a manner which is likely to be considered offensive by Housemates or the viewing public.”When George says the situation is “understood”, Big Brother continues: “Despite the prior warnings and the opportunities we have given you to adjust your language in the house, you have persisted in using offensive language. And as a result, Big Brother has no choice other than to remove you from the house.”George was a late addition to this year's series of Big BrotherAsked if he has any final words before his exit, George responds: “I always want to question any theory, any movement. I just like to… I just want to know the truth about things and I’m sorry.“So I’m really gutted but if that’s what you want to do then I’m sorry it’s ended like this.”George said in a statement shortly after his exit: “As a flag bearer of freedom of speech I never hesitate to discuss and question any topic regardless of how contentious it may be.“Sadly, the boundaries of what is deemed offensive are subjective and I evidently went too far this time by crossing their line one too many times.
