British Voters Increasingly Believe Nigel Farage Will Be Prime Minister

Is Nigel Farage heading for No.10?British voters increasingly believe Nigel Farage will become prime minister, according to a new poll.The number who think Reform UK will be the next government has also soared in the wake of the party’s triumph at last week’s local elections.Reform gained 677 council seats, took control of 10 local authorities and had two mayors elected as Labour and the Tories were both routed.Polling by the More in Common think-tank showed that the public now believe Farage is the most likely politician to be PM after the next general election.Some 19% – nearly one in five – think he is heading for No.10, up from 13% last month.By contrast, just 12% think Keir Starmer will be re-elected as prime minister, and just 4% think it will be Tory leader Kemi Badenoch.Farage also has the highest approval rating of any party leader, the More in Common polling showed.He is now on minus 3, with Lib Dem leader Ed Davey on minus 4, Kemi Badenoch on minus 23 and Keir Starmer on minus 38.Voters think Farage is now more likely to be PMAsked which party will form the next government, 19% think it will be a Reform UK majority, with a further 13% thinking the party will run a minority administration.That means 32%, or one-in-three voters, believe Reform UK will seize power after the next election.That compares to 13% who think it will be a Labour majority.Voters believe the next most likely outcome is a Reform-Tory coalition.
