CHP Delegates Sue for Extraordinary Convention, Seek Court-Appointed Committee

A group of 833 Republican People's Party (CHP) delegates have filed a lawsuit seeking the appointment of a three-person committee to convene an extraordinary party convention. The delegates claim the party leadership has not responded to their petition for a convention, which they argue is a legal requirement based on party bylaws and Turkish law.
