Donald Trump Says 1 Of His Big Plans For 2026 Is To 'Survive'

Donald Trump US President Donald Trump has one goal on the campaign trail ahead of the 2026 midterms. “I have big plans, I want to survive,” the president told One American News Network with a laugh on Thursday, in response to a question about campaigning across the country. “You look at what’s going on, it’s crazy,” Trump said, seemingly referencing surviving two assassination attempts himself, and Charlie Kirk’s recent murder.Trump added that “the rhetoric that these crazy Democrats are using is very dangerous. They’ve made politics very dangerous.” It is not clear that either of the people who tried to assassinate Trump were Democrats. President Donald Trump has one goal on the campaign trail ahead of the 2026 midterms.Thomas Matthew Crooks, who tried to assassinate Trump in July 2024 but instead grazed him in the ear, was a registered Republican, though he had donated to Democrats in 2022. Ryan Wesley Routh, who attempted to assassinate Trump while the president was playing golf in Palm Beach in September 2024, also had shifting political allegiances over the years. While Republicans have credited Democrats with inciting political violence, many Democratic leaders have pointed to Trump’s own history of dangerous rhetoric. “House Democrats are completely on the same page that there is no place for political violence.
