Donald Trump Takes A Petty Swipe At Taylor Swift During The Eagles’ White House Visit

Donald TrumpDonald Trump didn’t miss a chance to take yet another jab at Taylor Swift while celebrating the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2025 Super Bowl victory at the White House on Monday. In a brief speech, Trump acknowledged the Eagles’ 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs was “a little surprising”, seemingly alluding to the Chiefs’ back-to-back Super Bowl wins in 2023 and 2024. He then turned his attention to Swift, who grew up an Eagles fan but whose boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is a tight end with the Chiefs. “It was an incredible game,” he said. “I was there along with Taylor Swift, how did that work out? How did that one work out?”Swift, whose presence at Chiefs’ games has drawn the ire of some NFL fans, was met with some boos from the Caesars Superdome crowd after her face appeared on a jumbotron during this year’s Super Bowl.Watch an E! News report on Trump’s remarks on Taylor Swift – including footage of his speech – below:Trump has targeted Swift, who backed former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, on previous occasions. “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform in September last year, just days after the singer publicly endorsed Harris. Shortly after the Super Bowl ended in a decisive win for the Eagles, Trump took aim at Swift via Truth Social yet again, writing: “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium.”While it’s widely accepted that the Shake It Off singer was being booed by supporters of the Philadelphia Eagles, Trump still claimed the jeering was done by his supporters, adding: “MAGA is very unforgiving!”Since then, a number of public figures ― including Eagles player Saquon Barkley and tennis legend Serena Williams ― have spoken out in defence of the pop superstar. Though an appearance at the White House has become a tradition for Super Bowl winners, plans for the Eagles to meet with Trump after their first win in 2018 were scrapped. According to NBC, less than half the team was present at this year’s event.Among those who opted out was quarterback Jalen Hurts, who cited a “scheduling conflict” for his absence. READ MORE:Travis Kelce's Comments About Donald Trump Have Not Gone Down Well After Super Bowl Loss13 Must-See Celebrity Moments You Might Have Missed From The 2025 Super BowlIs Taylor Swift Really On This Lady Gaga Song?
