EU Fines AliExpress €550 Million for Selling Illegal and Dangerous Products
The European Commission has fined AliExpress €550 million for failing to adequately prevent the sale of illegal, dangerous, and counterfeit products on its platform. The penalty, the highest issued under the Digital Services Act, cites systemic failures in product oversight. AliExpress must submit a corrective action plan by October.
