EU Forces WhatsApp to Allow Other AI Providers in Messenger

The European Commission has ordered WhatsApp to allow other AI providers in its messenger service. Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, must comply with the interim measures within five working days. This action follows concerns that WhatsApp's integration of its own AI, Meta AI, could disadvantage competing services.
