Ex-Lafarge Executives Released on Supervised Bail After Terrorism Financing Conviction
Former Lafarge executives Bruno Lafont and Christian Herrault, imprisoned in April after being convicted of financing terrorism in Syria, have been released on supervised bail by the Paris Court of Appeal. They were initially sentenced to six and five years in prison, respectively, for paying terrorist groups to allow a Lafarge cement plant to continue operating during the Syrian civil war.
