F1 Star Damson Idris Reacts To Simone Ashley's Scenes Being Scrapped

Damson IdrisF1 actor Damson Idris has reacted to the news that Simone Ashley’s scenes have been cut from the film.Damson stars opposite Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Kerry Condon and a host of real-life Formula One stars in the new sports drama, which centres around a retired racer who becomes a mentor for a fledgling star in the field.Last week, it was revealed that while Bridgerton star Simone was originally due to appear in F1, her scenes didn’t make it into the finished movie, aside from a few shots in which she doesn’t speak.Asked for his thoughts on Simone being cut, Damson told BuzzFeed UK: “First of all, I love Simone, not just as a person, but also as an artist. I think she’s stupidly talented.”Simone AshleyHe then clarified: “[Simone’s] role was more of a cameo kind of role. It was sort of a love interest situation that happened.“But, as with many movies, you know the director’s cut.
