George Clooney’s Theory About The Future Of ‘Trumpism’ Doubles As A Diss To The Republican Party

George ClooneyLove him or hate him, Donald Trump is a vibe — and George Clooney thinks that’s what will contribute to MAGA’s eventual downfall.On Wednesday, Clooney was asked by CNN’s Anderson Cooper if he thinks “Trumpism” will endure after the president’s current term is up. “I don’t think so,” Clooney said. “I think it would be very hard to do it.”The Oscar winner, who is currently starring in the Broadway rendition of Good Night, And Good Luck, then went on to offer up his theory on why he thinks MAGA will fizzle out in 2028.“Remember this, Donald Trump is a celebrity. That’s what he is. I mean, he’s got a star on Hollywood Boulevard,” Clooney said. Clooney continued: “He’s a celebrity, and he’s the president of the United States, and so he has been elected, duly elected. Fair deal, I’m not complaining about that. …That’s how this democracy works.“But he’s also a celebrity, and he is charming. And to the people who like him, they think he’s funny. To a great many others, they don’t.” Clooney then went on to diss the entirety of the Republican Party while concluding his argument. “And so when he is finished — and he will be finished — they’re going to have to go looking for someone who can deliver the message that he delivered with the same kind of charisma,” Clooney said. “And they don’t have that.” Although Clooney could be right, he’s not exactly always been a reliable fortune teller.
