Joe Marler in The Celebrity TraitorsJoe Marler is setting the record straight on how much the cast of The Celebrity Traitors were paid for their appearance on the show.Since the inaugural celebrity series of The Traitors premiered last month, fans have been speculating about much the famous contestants might have earned for their stint in the castle, with the eventual prize money all being given to the chosen charity of the winner.The Rest Is Entertainment host Marina Hyde claimed earlier this year on the podcast that bosses “were able to pay everybody a blanket 40k fee”, meaning that regardless of their celebrity stature before the show, or the length of their time on The Traitors, everyone would be paid the same £40,000 amount.In the months since, this £40K figure has been repeatedmultiple times in the press, including during an interview with Joe, who made it all the way to the Celebrity Traitors final, published in The Times on Monday evening.What has Joe Marler had to say about how much the cast of The Celebrity Traitors got paid?“Daisy read that too,” he said, referring to his wife of eight years. “She said to me, ‘Hold on, I thought you only got 30?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I did’.”Joe continued: “So no, I don’t think everyone got paid the same. But I’m not bothered.
