Hugh Jackman’s Ex Deborra-Lee Furness Files For Divorce After 27 Years Of Marriage

Hugh JackmanHugh Jackman’s wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, has officially filed for divorce nearly two years after the pair announced their separation. Deborra-Lee’s filing in New York came after the former couple revealed their mutual split in September 2023. “We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” the pair said in a statement at the time. “Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”Deborra-Lee’s lawyer, Elena Karabatos, also submitted filings regarding the former couple’s settlement, healthcare coverage and medical child support, People reports. HuffPost has reached out to reps for both parties for comment. Hugh and Deborra-Lee tied the knot in 1996 after meeting the year before while filming the Australian TV series Correlli. The former couple share two children — son Oscar and daughter Ava. An undisclosed “source” claimed to Us Weekly in November 2024 that Sutton and Hugh’s relationship is the “reason Hugh and Deb got divorced” after rumours circulated that the pair had become close while starring in the Broadway production. “A lot of people on Broadway knew, and we kept it quiet because both of them are so nice and great people,” the source alleged. “Everyone respected their privacy. But there was an affair and overlap.”Neither Deborra-Lee nor Hugh has publicly confirmed the reason behind their divorce.
