Istanbul Official Kidnapped, Demanded 500kg Gold, Claimed to be 'Imamoglu's Cashier'

An Istanbul Municipality official, Erhan Karaal, kidnapped and later rescued, stated in his testimony that his abductors demanded 300kg, then 500kg of gold, claiming he was 'Ekrem Imamoglu's cashier' and had significant wealth. Twelve suspects, including two women, have been detained.
