I've Searched High And Low For An Eyeliner That Can Withstand My Oily Skin – This Is The Only One

Oh, and FYI – prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.I’ve been blessed in many ways, but not when it comes to my oily skin. While it’s often front and centre of the foundation conversation, there’s not quite so much talk about how having oily skin impacts one’s eye makeup. In particular, I’ve struggled with eyeliner. I’ve searched high and low, near and far, for eyeliner that can handle my skin for longer than a couple of hours before flaking off or smudging. The inks and pencils and pots other people swore by couldn’t seem to do a thing for me. Either that, or they were gloopy and a huge pain to apply, constantly getting stuck and clumping in my lashes if I didn’t apply them with absolute surgical precision. So with them, I made do, but I wasn’t pleased about it. I’ve scoured reviews, thumbed through magazines, gone through stores with a fine-toothed comb, and time and time again, I was disappointed. That is, until I found Eyeko’s incomparable Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner. This bad boy changed the game for me.It’s highly pigmented, so all it needs is a couple of swipes to get the shape bang on, and you’re set for the rest of the day. Thanks to a finely-pointed tip that walks the line between a brush and a felt-tip pen, said swipes are very, very easily done. In fact, in the photos above, my whole face of makeup was applied in about 10 minutes. The liner for both eyes took around 3. Imagine what you, who likely have a far steadier hand than I do, could do in that amount of time?I recently wore this liner to the summer wedding of one of my oldest friends, where I danced, drank, and, crucially, sweat the night away. “Surely,” I thought, “this will be the time my eyeliner lets me down.” Well, dear reader, it did not. It was just as I applied it when I stumbled back to my hotel room at the end of the night, and parts of it were still refusing to budge after my shower the next morning.  Some people have complained about the tip drying out fast, but personally, I’ve not found that to be the case at all. In fact, as I type this, I’m trying to remember exactly when I got my last liner, which is literally the only sign that it needs replacing. (Whoops!)On top of that, the Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner is vegan and cruelty-free. And at just £11.83 (at the time of writing), that means my wallet and my conscience are both happy campers.Related...RIP Summer: These 7 Duvets Will Help You Survive This Weird Cold SnapIn Praise Of M&S Jeans: 9 Of The Best Pairs To Shop This AutumnFeeling Grungy?
