The Governorship of İzmir has announced a ban on entering forests between June 1 and October 31, 2026, to prevent potential forest fires. Picnics and breaks are prohibited in undesignated areas, while designated picnic spots can be used if precautions are taken. Burning vegetation is also forbidden.
