Jojo Siwa Breaks Silence On Splitting Up With Partner Hours After Celebrity Big Brother Exit

Jojo Siwa pictured on Monday's edition of This MorningJojo Siwa has spoken out for the first time since splitting up with her partner just hours after leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house.Throughout her time in the CBB compound, the pop singer and internet personality spoke fondly of her partner, the Australian presenter Kath Ebbs.However, in a widely-shared Instagram video shared on Sunday, Kath claimed that Jojo had dumped them in the middle of the CBB wrap party.Revealing they were in a “complete state of shock” and “numbed out right now”, Kath explained that they’d spent the last two weeks “sitting back, watching certain things unfold, and not being able to get any clarity from the person that it involved”.“In the last eight hours or whatever, I flew here, and I went to the live show to show up for my partner, and support them in their experience, and then, obviously, later on, address my feelings of hurt and work through them like all relationships do,” they explained.“But before I could even get back to the hotel, I went to the after-party with my [ex], and was dumped in the party. I was told that there are confused feelings there, do with that what you will, and they had realised in the house that I wasn’t the person that they wanted to spend the foreseeable [future with].”View this post on InstagramA post shared by Kath Ebbs (@kathebbs)On Monday morning, Jojo made a joint appearance on This Morning with fellow CBB housemate Chris Hughes, with whom she formed a strong bond in the house that generated a lot of conversation during the series.“Honestly, when I went into the house, day one [was] fun, day two [was] fun… well day two wasn’t actually that fun with you know who… but then, honestly, day three, I was in my own thoughts, away from everyone that I know, away from outside opinions, away from everything,” Jojo recalled.“And I sat with myself and from that point on, I really realised, things that I was OK with, in my life, that I should never have been OK with in the first place.”When host Cat Deeley asked if Jojo was specifically referring to her relationship, she responded: “Just so many things – [my relationship] is one of them – but so many things. And then I, obviously, wanted to hold them inside because I didn’t want to air that out very publicly, but there were countless things that I was like, ‘that’s not something that I should be OK with and that I don’t need to be OK with, and I’m not happy’.”Jojo continued: “I knew as soon as I got out that I wanted to fix things in my life, and make the changes that I needed to make. Because I don’t know, you have this experience that is so [exhilarating], it’s 20 days, but it feels like it’s four and a half years. And the first thing you want to do when you get out is just exactly what you need to do in your life to make it as good as you can.“And I think I realised just how not great things were, that I was pretending they were great, and it’s been hard, but it’s been good, and I’m very happy with where I am now, and very grateful.”Turning her attention to Chris, she added: “I’m very grateful that I had you in there for support and for comfort – even though you didn’t always know what was going on in my brain, you were obviously a support.”Cat then asked about Jojo breaking up with her partner at the CBB after-party.“I’ll be honest, that was not a plan, that was not an intention, that was not supposed to happen like that,” Jojo said. “Initially I was told that the wrap party was something that [Kat] didn’t want to attend. And then about an hour into the wrap party they decided that they wanted to.“And so, I was genuinely just going to have the conversation before, and then [them coming to the party] just led to another [conversation].“They straight up asked me if I was happy and I said no, and you know, one thing led to another, and that conversation did take place there.”Both Chris and Jojo also took a moment to insist that their friendship is purely platonic, despite widespread suggestions there could be more to their relationship.Chris Hughes and Jojo Siwa in the Celebrity Big Brother house“Our friendship is just a really strong bond between two people, which is just a strong friendship,” the former Love Island finalist agreed.“He’s a great guy. It is platonic,” Jojo concluded. “We have a lot of fun together. Life is life.
