La Voix performing live on Strictly last weekLa Voix is clearing up rumours about why she is sadly sitting out of this week’s Blackpool special of Strictly Come Dancing.Earlier this week, the former Drag Race UK finalist said she was “devastated” at having to miss out on performing in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom due to injury.Opening up during an interview on Wednesday’s edition of spin-off show It Takes Two, La Voix told Janette Manrara: “Some people have been saying online that it’s only because I wanted to get out of doing the Samba.“I’d just like to clarify, I was desperate to get to Blackpool and do the Samba! The production that was planned was going to be incredible,” she added.La Voix is currently paired with Aljaž Škorjanec, Janette’s husband, on the series, with the pair receiving a bye through to the next stage of the competition. It was announced on Tuesday that La Voix would be withdrawing from Saturday’s show with “immense sadness”.She said: “I’ve been advised that I’m unable to perform, and my heart truly breaks knowing I won’t be dancing in such an iconic venue.“Aljaž and I have worked incredibly hard, and we were so excited to share our routine with everyone. I am devastated not to be joining the rest of the cast on that famous dance floor, but my focus now is on recovery.”View this post on InstagramLa Voix also used her time on the Strictly spin-off show to explain the extent of her injury, which she’s been struggling with for longer than most fans had realised.“This has been ongoing since really the Foxtrot week, when I [felt] a little niggle in my foot,” she said. “Hence why there were some little comments about me being flat-footed; the famous heel turn and toe turn.” And this injury hasn’t just affected her time performing on the show – it has also affected La Voix’s sartorial choices.“I was thinking, ‘this’ll be fine, this’ll be fine’. And then it got gradually worse and worse and worse until on Saturday I had to change shoes,” she told Janette. “I had to wear those... Janette, those awful flat shoes! They were the same as [Aljaž]’s, and he was like, ‘thanks’,” she joked.La Voix pictured with Janette and Aljaz during Wednesday's It Takes TwoLast weekend’s show saw La Voix make it into the top half of the leaderboard, earning a respectable 33 points from the judges.Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday night at 6.35pm on BBC One.MORE STRICTLY:La Voix Sheds More Light On Strictly Injury That Led Her To Miss Live ShowBalvinder Sopal Shares Emotional Post After Surviving Fourth Strictly Dance-OffAlan Carr Breaks Silence On Strictly Come Dancing Presenting Rumours
