Lady Gaga's Wednesday Season 2 Character Teased In New Photo

Jenna Ortega and Lady Gaga at a Wednesday promo event last weekNetflix is offering Wednesday fans a sneak peek at what to expect from Lady Gaga’s upcoming appearance in the second half of its latest season.To keep fans in suspense and generate yet more buzz for the Addams Family spin-off, the streaming service made the decision to split the current season of Wednesday in two, the first half of which premiered last month.After leaving fans hanging for four weeks, the second batch of episodes is due to drop on – you guessed it! – Wednesday.But as a reward for their patience, Netflix released a brief glimpse at Gaga’s much-hyped appearance in the episode on Monday afternoon.Describing her role as “a vision in venom”, the Oscar winner was seen in character as Rosaline Rotwood, previously described as a “legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday Addams” in the newly-released photo.In the teaser picture, a platinum blonde Gaga was seen posing in a flowing white dress, with Thing on her shoulder.View this post on InstagramA post shared by Wednesday Netflix (@wednesdaynetflix)To coincide with her appearance in Wednesday, Gaga is also releasing a new single this week, Dead Dance, which will also be featured in the show.Gaga’s link to Wednesday stretches all the way back to season one, after a fan-made video of the title character dancing to the Born This Way singer’s album cut Bloody Mary went viral, and led to a surge in popularity for the track.Bloody Mary wound up charting on both sides of the Atlantic more than a decade after its original release, and currently serves as the opening track on Gaga’s ongoing Mayhem Ball Tour.Jenna Ortega recently told Netflix: “If you’re into Wednesday, if you’re into Lady Gaga, you should be very excited to see her in Part 2 — it really works. She’s unbelievable.“She’s one of the few, rare instances of someone who is so clearly doing what they’re meant to be doing.
