Madonna's 5-Word Met Gala Post Is A Must-See Treat For Pop Fans

Madonna on the Met Gala red carpet on Monday nightMadonna has revealed she spent a portion of this year’s Met Gala mingling with some of the biggest women in music right now.On Monday night, the Queen of Pop attended the annual fundraiser, walking the red carpet in an all-white tailored tuxedo and – in a nod to some of her own classic moments – smoking a cigar.And (in what we can only describe as a flagrant disregard for the event’s no-phones policy) she and some of her contemporary pop peers revealed afterwards that they came together for a selfie once they were all done with the red carpet.“Met Gala with the girlies!” Madonna enthused on X, alongside a picture that showed her posing with Chappell Roan, Charli XCX and Lorde, as well as her long-time friend Stella McCartney.Met Gala with the Girlies! pic.twitter.com/kTOnZINhFR— Madonna (@Madonna) May 6, 2025In the past, both Chappell and Charli have spoken about how Madonna has influenced their own music and artistry.Back in 2014, Charli told the New York Times: “Madonna was someone who didn’t get put in a box. She changed and evolved. The second someone tries to put me in a box, I will do everything to rebel against that.“One thing I don’t understand is how people want you to replicate your past successes.
