MAGA Has Utter Meltdown Over Trump Nobel Peace Prize Snub

Donald Trump didn’t win the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday, despite the president’s and his allies’ shameless lobbying efforts in recent weeks.And his MAGA base was not happy.After the Norwegian Nobel Committee named opposition activist María Corina Machado of Venezuela as the winner, Trump supporters went off on social media.Laura Loomer, a far-right activist and confidant of Trump, called it “an absolute joke.” Conservative commentator Eric Daugherty wrote it was “unbelievable.”The MAGA Voice account ranted at its 1.3 million followers on X, formerly Twitter: “Some random person that nobody knows, Maria Machado, just won the Nobel Peace Prize. THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE IS A JOKE. Anyone with a brain knows Donald Trump should have won. TRUMP COULD HAVE CURED CANCER. SUCH A JOKE.”Trumpworld had talked up the president’s chances of victory in recent weeks, citing his work on ending the Israel-Hamas war.However, some responders to those Nobel-condemning posts pointed out that nominations for this year’s accolade were only accepted until Jan. 31, 2025, just days after Trump entered office for the second time (even though former President Barack Obama won the prize in 2009, during the same time frame).Nominations for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize can be submitted starting in mid-October, per the Norwegian Nobel Committee’s website.Imagine thinking a woman who cries nonstop about @NicolasMaduro has done more for the world than President Trump. 🙄 What an absolute joke.
