Mali's junta leader pardons French intelligence agent sentenced to 20 years

Malian junta leader Assimi Goïta has pardoned a French intelligence agent who was sentenced to 20 years in prison. The agent was arrested in August 2025 and accused of conspiring against Malian institutions.
