'National Embarrassment': Critics Rip Trump Over 'Disgusting' New Attack On Democrats

Critics are calling out President Donald Trump for posting a bizarre deepfake video insulting two key Democratic lawmakers who met with him in the White House on Monday in a failed last-minute attempt to avert a looming government shutdown. The doctored video shows House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries wearing a sombrero and a cartoonish moustache as the “Mexican Hat Dance” plays while an AI-altered Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer calls Democratic lawmakers “woke pieces of shit.”This comes after Trump and his allies spent much of the month claiming rhetoric from “the left” is fuelling a rise in political violence. The video also promotes the racist “great replacement” conspiracy theory, which claims Democrats are bringing in undocumented immigrants to replace white voters.
