WHO Declares Ebola Outbreak in Congo and Uganda a Global Health Emergency
The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. The outbreak involves a rare strain of Ebola, with over 300 suspected cases and 88 deaths, but does not yet meet the criteria for a pandemic.
