Pamela Anderson Debuts Dramatic New Look After Ditching Her Signature Blonde Hair

On Tuesday, French hairstylist John Nollet shared an Instagram post featuring Pamela with a new copper-coloured and shorter, choppier cut (check out the new autumn-ready look for yourself here). “New hair cut and colour for a new movie character,” the stylist wrote on the post, hinting that Pamela’s new look may be in connection with her next film, Love Is Not The Answer.Love Is Not The Answer is an upcoming project co-starring Jamie Dornan and Steve Coogan, with Michael Cera on directing duties.Although the plot is being kept under wraps for now, it has been described as a “precise yet unpredictable, absurdist comedy that moves between hilarity and heartbreak as it explores modern loneliness and the search for connection”.Pamela has recently been stepping away from the look she’s been associated with for decades. In 2023, she generated a whole lot of conversation when she made a makeup-free appearance at Paris Fashion Week. She told People the decision was entirely for herself and not to make a political statement. “I really didn’t know anyone would notice it, but I’m glad it became a positive message,” she explained.Pamela Anderson sported a bare-faced look at the British Fashion Awards in December 2023The understated look came after Pamela lost her close friend and makeup artist Alexis Vogel to breast cancer in 2019.“She was the best,” the Baywatch star told Elle magazine in 2023. “And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup.Following this, she also debuted a new shorter hairstyle at this year’s Met Gala.“I originally cut it for a film – just to the shoulders – as a quiet nod to my favourite Bergman actresses,” she told Who What Wear back in May. “I believe the world needs more of a feminine warrior presence, and this was my small contribution.”
