Peaky Blinders Surprises Fans With Exciting Return Announcement

Cillian Murphy in the final season of Peaky BlindersPeaky Blinders is to return to our screens for two brand new series, introducing a “new generation of Shelbys”.On Thursday afternoon, the BBC announced that the show would be returning for a new batch of episodes set more than 20 years after the last instalment, which aired in 2022.An official synopsis for the BBC and Netflix co-production teased: “Britain, 1953. After being heavily bombed in WWII, Birmingham is building a better future out of concrete and steel.“In a new era of Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders, the race to own Birmingham’s massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions.“This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and danger: with the Shelby family right at its blood-soaked heart.”View this post on InstagramA post shared by Peaky Blinders (@peakyblindersofficial)Steven Knight enthused: “I’m thrilled to be announcing this new chapter in the Peaky Blinders story. Once again it will be rooted in Birmingham and will tell the story of a city rising from the ashes of the Birmingham blitz.“The new generation of Shelbys have taken the wheel and it will be a hell of a ride.”Before all of that, though, there’s the Peaky Blinders spin-off film The Immortal Man for fans to get excited about, reuniting cast members Cillian Murphy, Stephen Graham and Sophie Rundle alongside newcomers like Barry Keoghan and Rebecca Ferguson.It’s fair to say that Steven Knight is on something of a roll right now.
