Pedro PascalPedro Pascal is speaking out after making headlines with his comments about JK Rowling.Back in April, Pedro shared his thoughts after the UK Supreme Court made a divisive ruling, stating that the legal definition of a woman now only covers those assigned female at birth.This came after it was reported that the Harry Potter author – whose commentary on trans issues in recent years has made her a polarising figure – had donated £70,000 to the campaign group which had raised the initial legal challenge that led to the Supreme Court’s ruling.After the news broke, Rowling posted a picture of herself on X raising a glass and smoking a cigar, remarking: “I love it when a plan comes together.”JK Rowling pictured in 2018Following this, the writer and activist Tariq Ra’ouf then posted a video on social media urging his followers to swerve projects inspired by Rowling’s work, in light of what he described as “awful disgusting shit” she has put into the world.The Last Of Us star then popped up in the comments, agreeing: “Awful disgusting SHIT is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behaviour.”A new interview with Vanity Fair published on Tuesday claims that this was viewed by some critics as a “man trying to bully a woman into silence”.Pedro admitted that he briefly felt like “that kid that got sent to the principal’s office a lot for behavioural issues in public schools in Texas feeling scared and thinking, ‘What’d I do?’”.He then admitted: “The one thing that I would say I agonised over a little bit was just, ‘Am I helping? Am I fucking helping?’. It’s a situation that deserves the utmost elegance so that something can actually happen, and people will actually be protected.”“Listen,” Pedro continued. “I want to protect the people I love.
