Russell Brand Pleads Not Guilty To Rape And Sexual Abuse Charges
Russell Brand arrives at Southwark Crown Court on Friday morningRussell Brand has pleaded not guilty after being charged with sexual abuse and rape last month.Allegations of historic sexual misconduct against Brand were first made public in 2023, as part of a joint investigation between The Sunday Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches.The Metropolitan Police subsequently launched their own investigation, resulting in the comedian and actor being charged last month.Having already denied the accusations levelled against him – and after being granted bail at an initial hearing earlier this month – Brand appeared at Southwark Crown Court on Friday morning, where he entered his plea.
