Kemi Badenoch said Ukraine was fighting "a proxy war" Russia has appeared to praise Kemi Badenoch over her latest comments about the war in Ukraine.The Tory leader said on Sunday that Ukraine was fighting “a proxy war” against Russia on western Europe’s behalf.Her remarks have been quoted approvingly by the Russian Embassy in London, which said Badenoch had “finally called a spade a spade”.In a post on their X account, the embassy said: “Ukraine is indeed fighting a proxy-war against Russia on behalf of Western interests.
