Rylan Clark Reveals Why He Felt Like An 'Utter Failure' After His Divorce

Rylan ClarkRylan Clark has reflected on the complicated feelings he had about the end of his marriage.In 2021, Rylan confirmed that he and his ex-husband Dan Neal had parted ways six years after tying the knot, and in the aftermath, the former Celebrity Big Brother star spoke openly about how the break-up severely impacted his mental health.During the first episode of his new BBC Sounds podcast How To Be In Love, guest Stephen Fry asked: “When you divorced, did you feel that, in some sense, you were letting down the idea of gay marriage, because we have a duty to show that our marriages are as robust and strong as any heterosexual??“Yeah, there was part of me that just felt like a complete and utter failure,” Rylan admitted. “I felt like I’d failed personally, but I felt like I’d failed publicly on behalf of the gays!He continued: “You do feel like, yeah I’m going to get married, I want to get married, I can get married. But when it doesn’t work out you don’t want people to go, ‘you see that’s why they fucking shouldn’t get married’.”Stephen then brought up the subject of Rylan potentially remarrying in the future, to which he responded: “Yeah with a prenup this time.
