Sam Fender's Little Bit Closer Music Video Was Also An Adolescence Reunion

Sam Fender performing in 2023 (left) and Owen Cooper in the singer's new music video (right)Adolescence star Owen Cooper has unveiled his latest project – as the star of Sam Fender’s new music video.Last week, the Geordie singer-songwriter unveiled the video for his latest single Little Bit Closer, which featured the teenage Netflix star in a prominent role.But that’s not the only Adolescence connection with Sam’s video – as it was also helmed by Philip Barantini, who directed all four episodes of the hard-hitting drama.Sam wrote on Instagram: “I had no doubt [Philip Barantini] was the right director for this one, it was so great to work with him again. His video for Spit of You will always be my favourite.“He asked [Owen] if he’d like to be in the video and I was elated when he said yes — his performance in Adolescence was incredible.
