Swinney admits early release of long-term prisoners 'a possibility' in jails crisis

The First Minister has not ruled out the early release of long term prisoners as he hit back at critics of the Scottish Government's track record after the Herald  revealed the cost of  Scotland's jails had soared in ten years in an overcrowding crisis.
