Taylor Swift Reveals Travis Kelce's Epic Hugh Grant Mix-Up At The Eras Tour

Taylor Swift on Late Night With Seth MeyersSwifties and cynics alike can put down their swords for the next few minutes and enjoy this story from Taylor Swift about one especially memorable star encounter at the Eras Tour.Last year, you might remember Hugh Grant effusing (well, as effusively as one can expect from Hugh Grant, anyway) about his night watching Taylor live in London, attending the show with his wife and daughter, where he and the singer’s then-boyfriend (now-fiancé) Travis Kelce enjoyed a multitude of shots together.And this merriment apparently continued at an after-show party, where Barbie director Greta Gerwig was also in attendance.Taylor told Seth Meyers earlier this week that on the night that Greta was going to be there, she gave Travis a heads-up that he’d be in the VIP tent with her, as he’s such a fan of her films.Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce“He was like, ‘oh my god, I really want to tell her how funny I thought Barbie was’,” she recalled. “And I was like, ‘you absolutely should, she’s the sweetest, giggliest person to tell that you like their work, you’re going to love her’.“So the show happened… and afterward, he gets in the car, he’s had as many shots as everyone else, and he’s like, ‘this was the most fun tent, everyone was amazing’.”When he started reeling off the names of the A-listers he’d met that night, Taylor noticed that Travis hadn’t mentioned Greta, to which he said: “Um… I did… I think I told an annoying joke that she’d heard too many times. I walked up to her, and I was like, ‘I love Barbie, I’m just Ken too’. She was very polite about it, she smiled politely, but she didn’t say anything’.”“I was like, ‘that’s very out of character, but maybe she has heard that joke too many times’,” Taylor continued. “And he was like, ’yeah, but you know, she was talking to Hugh Grant all night so I think they might be doing a movie together. They were really, really close.
