Even my toddler came home from childcare recently and proudly announced it, leaving my jaw well and truly on the floor.For the uninitiated, the saying seems to have originated from the drill rap Doot Doot (6 7) by Skrilla and has also been associated with basketball player LaMelo Ball who is 6′7″.It has since become popular on TikTok, with people using the song and edited footage of the basketball player, to create 6-7 memes.Now kids use it at every opportunity, to the point where some teachers have banned the phrase in classrooms or disciplined students who use it.What does six-seven mean?According to Parents, some say it means ‘so-so’, especially as it’s usually accompanied by an up-and-down hand gesture. But mostly, it’s nonsense and doesn’t really mean anything. Unsurprisingly then, kids bloody love it.
