This X-Rated Scene Was Cut From Alexander Skarsgård And Harry Melling's Kinky Biker Romance

Harry Melling and Alexander Skarsgård in PIllionAlexander Skarsgård and Harry Potter alum Harry Melling’s BDSM-themed biker romance Pillion is already making big waves at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. The film centres around a timid wallflower whose world is turned upside down when he falls in love with the leader of a biker gang, with whom he explores his sexuality and becomes a submissive.Following its premiere at Cannes, the movie received an eight-minute standing ovation and positive reviews, with critics singling out its humour, as well as its more sexual scenes. But it turns out that there was initially even more X-rated content in the movie that was axed before it debuted at the film festival.Director Harry Lighton told Variety these sequences were cut so the audience didn’t end up “feeling they were being deliberately shocked by an image”.“For example, there was one close up of a dick, a hard dick … like down the barrel of the lens. And after watching the film on that ‘fuck-off’ screen I thought, yeah, cutting it was probably the right decision!” the British filmmaker added.Pillion director Harry Lighton in Cannes with cast members Alexander Skarsgård and Harry MellingAlexander also noted: “There’s definitely a raunchier version of this movie … what you’ve seen is the family friendly version … there’s also the Alexander Skarsgard cut.”The director added there may need to be further edits before its global release, most notably the “de-shine” of semen in certain scenes.Pillion’s official synopsis teases: “Colin, a weedy wallflower is letting life pass him by. That is until Ray, the impossibly handsome leader of a motorbike club, takes him on as his submissive. Ray uproots Colin from his dreary suburban life, introducing him to a community of kinky, queer bikers and taking all sorts of virginities along the way.“But as Colin steps deeper into Ray’s world of rules and mysteries, he begins to question whether the life of a 24/7 submissive is for him. Has he found his calling, or simply swapped one form of suffocation for another?”MORE FILM NEWS:Alexander Skarsgård Gets Candid About Shooting 'Messy' Sex Scenes In 'Kinky' New Biker RomanceAimee Lou Wood To Share The Screen With This Hollywood Icon In Her First Post-White Lotus RoleSinners' Success Proves We Crave New Stories – So Why Does Hollywood Keep Serving Up Sequels?
