Trump Threatens Putin Ally After He Dared To Compare Him To ‘Sleepy Joe’

But on Monday, Trump made the impromptu announcement that the two countries, which have been embroiled in a three-year war, now have only 10 more days to strike a deal. And it seems that Medvedev, who is now deputy chair of Russia’s security council, wasn’t thrilled about it.“Trump’s playing the ultimatum game with Russia: 50 days or 10…,” Medvedev wrote Monday on X, formerly Twitter. “He should remember 2 things: 1. Russia isn’t Israel or even Iran. 2. Each new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with his own country. Don’t go down the Sleepy Joe road!”Russian President Vladimir Putin (left) and then-Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev enter the hall during the XIX Congress of United Russia Party in November 2019 in Moscow.Medvedev’s decision to compare Trump to Biden was likely used to highlight the Biden administration’s hostile relationship with Moscow. But Medvedev’s decision to use “Sleepy Joe” — a moniker Trump used to mock his predecessor — is just plain bitchy. So, on Thursday morning, Trump took the bait and responded to Medvedev by publishing an unsettling post on his Truth Social site.“Russia and the USA do almost no business together,” Trump wrote. “Let’s keep it that way, and tell Medvedev, the failed former President of Russia, who thinks he’s still President, to watch his words. He’s entering very dangerous territory!”Trump’s “failed president” jab was likely a reference to Medvedev’s single term as Russia’s leader, from 2008 to 2012. Medvedev’s single term was controversial, and it was viewed by many as a placeholder presidency because Russian law prevented Putin from serving three consecutive terms.Related...Virginia Giuffre's Family Says This 1 Trump Comment About Her Shocked ThemTrump Goes On Wild Repost Rampage With Unhinged Memes Of Obama, Clinton And More‘Sleepy Don’: People Sure Think Trump Was Starting To Doze Off On Camera
