Trump Threatens To 'Take A Look' At Deporting Elon Musk Amid Latest Bust-Up
US President said he will be taking a look at deporting Elon Musk.Donald Trump has threatened to “take a look” at deporting Elon Musk as the former friends resume their public row.The world’s richest man – and Trump’s closest adviser for the first few months of the year – criticised the president’s spending plans with his “Big Beautiful Bill” on Monday.Trump has subsequently lashed out at the tech mogul and even suggested deploying the unit Musk used to head up, the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), to oust him from the States altogether.Asked by reporters if he might consider deporting the South African-born Musk, Trump said: “I don’t know, we’ll have to take a look.”He then claimed that cost-cutters at DOGE may have to look into Musk’s own subsidies. He said: “We might have to put DOGE on Elon. DOGE is the monster that might have to go back and eat Elon, wouldn’t that be terrible?”Trump then continued to attack Musk’s electric car company, Tesla – which the president once promoted himself outside the White House. He said: “He gets a lot of subsidies, he does. But Elon is very upset that the EV [electric vehicle] mandate is going to be terminated.“You know what, not everyone wants an electric car.”Reporter: Are you going to deport Elon Musk?Trump: We'll have to take a look.
