Turkey: 14 Arrested in $9 Million Fake TOKİ Housing Website Scam

Turkish police arrested 14 suspects across 13 provinces for allegedly defrauding citizens of over 9 million lira (approximately $300,000 USD) through fake websites mimicking the state-backed housing developer TOKİ. The suspects allegedly created fraudulent sites resembling TOKİ projects to swindle numerous individuals.
