US, UK, Australia to Develop Underwater Drone Technology Under AUKUS Pact

The United States, United Kingdom, and Australia will develop unmanned undersea vehicles, or underwater drones, through the AUKUS defense pact. The technology is aimed at protecting undersea cables and boosting naval defense. The drones are expected to be ready by next year.
