Varta to Close Nördlingen Plant After Apple Ends Battery Order, Cutting 350 Jobs

Battery manufacturer Varta is closing its Nördlingen, Bavaria plant after a major customer, Apple, decided to end its battery orders for earbuds by October 2026. The closure will result in the loss of approximately 350 jobs.
