Merrill Lynch Denies 8 Billion Lira Profit Claim, Says Gains Were in the Millions

Merrill Lynch rejected claims that it made 8 billion lira through short selling before Sept. 16 or traded for Turkish investors. The bank said its clients were international institutional investors and its gains were in the millions.
