Turkey's Vice President: Citizens' hidden gold and dollars exceed central bank reserves
Turkey's Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz stated that the amount of dollars and gold held by citizens under their mattresses exceeds the Central Bank's reserves of $178.4 billion as of August 7. He expressed a desire for this wealth to enter the financial system to lower Turkey's risk premium.
